I would like to occasionally use my Sonos One speaker outside adjacent to the hot tub to play music and use Alexa for turning some lights on/off etc. and wondered if there was a suitable outdoor enclosure to offer some protection against the elements? Personally, I doubt Sonos is going to build a truly weatherproof outdoor speaker. We use 3 different kinds of cookies. Besides that, I kind of enjoyed the wiring project. It's just a negotiating tactic toward the lollypop. So my speakers are completely exposed to the elements.
Even a response is a major plus, because then we at least know we are being heard and not just me, anybody. I personally would not buy at least in the short term I have fixed outdoor speakers wired to a Connect:Amp safely tucked away inside my house. You bet. Over 40, for this topic. This ain't "rocket surgery":D. Bringing them into the Sonos fold was a simple addition of a Connect. It might be good to leave it in the enclosure for some days or maybe even a week at a time but for most of its life I would unplug it and take it in the house so it doesn't have to be a permanent fixture.
